Organizations
What an organization is, how to create one and how to find or join one.
An organization is a shared space for a team, club or group. It has members, a website of its own, team chat, a shared repository and a place for contact-form messages.
Creating one
You need a Pro account, or an account on a Pro trial from an invite code. From the member area, create an organization and choose a name and an address. The address is the short name used in links, such as /o/youraddress, and for the website at youraddress.phreak.space. It is 3 to 32 characters of lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. Some words are reserved and addresses cannot match an existing username. You become the owner. New organizations start on the smallest organization plan. See the guide on organization plans.
Finding and joining
Organizations that choose to be listed have a page at /o/address. Press the join button to send a request. An owner or admin of the organization approves or denies it. You can only be added if the organization has a free seat.
The console
Open an organization from the Organizations list in the left-hand menu. The console has a dashboard, Repositories, File Share, Team Chat, a Site Editor, a Block Store, and a list of the team. Owners and admins see more than regular members.
Leaving
Any member except the owner can leave an organization. Owners cannot leave. If you own an organization and want to step away, send a support ticket (paid accounts) and ask an administrator to transfer or close it. Leaving frees your seat.
