Email verification
Confirm your email address so you can recover your account and use every feature.
When you sign up we email you a link. Opening the link confirms that the address is yours.
Why it matters
- It lets you reset your password if you forget it.
- It is where email two-factor codes are sent, if you choose that method.
- When the site requires it, uploading files and photos and creating organizations need a confirmed address. Until you confirm, a yellow banner at the top of your member pages tells you so.
If you did not get the email
- Look in your spam or junk folder, and wait a few minutes.
- Check the address shown in the banner. If it is wrong, see the troubleshooting guide on verification emails.
- Press Resend email in the banner. You can ask for a new email only a few times in a few minutes, so wait if you are told to.
Links expire, so always use the newest email. You must be logged in when you open the link.
