Files and folders

File hosting is for Pro accounts. Open File Host in the member menu. If you are on a free or Basic account you can still search and download files, and the page shows what you can do instead.

Your storage

The top of the File Host page shows how much storage you use and your allowance. The allowance is your plan plus any storage packs you have bought, and the largest single file depends on your plan. Your allowance is shown on the File Host page and on your Billing page, and the per-file limit comes with your plan. See the guides on storage packs and on where your files are stored. A file bigger than your allowance, or bigger than your per-file limit, is refused.

Uploading

Press Upload, choose a file and send it. Large files are sent in pieces, with a progress bar. You can cancel an upload while it runs. You need a confirmed email if the site requires it. See the guide on uploads and sharing for the rules, and the upload rules guide for what is checked.

Folders

• Press New folder to make a folder. You can make folders inside folders. The path above the list shows where you are.
• Rename or delete a folder from its row.
• Use Move on a file to put it in a folder, or back in the root.

Deleting

Press Delete on a file row and confirm. A file that is under review cannot be deleted until the review is finished.

Under review

A file marked under review is waiting for a check. It cannot be downloaded by others while it waits. Most files are released within moments. Very large images are checked in the background and may take longer.
